Opis The Beatles: Rubber Soul Wersja na winylu LP w zremasterowane wydanie. Ta konkretna edycja została wydana w Europa i Wielka Brytania w wydawnictwie Parlophone dnia 13. listopada 2012. It's always amazing the pressure the Beatles were under to make the most fantastic albums. They had just four weeks to release their sixth album Rubber Soul, because the album had to be in the shops in time for the Christmas trade. Before that, Lennon, McCartney, Harrison and Starr had been on tour for months. Physical and artistic exhaustion would have been the normal consequence. Other musicians would probably have collapsed from the announcement that they would produce a successful album in four weeks. This is another aspect that distinguishes a supergroup from a normal band. And then you don't just make an album for Christmas and world peace, you make a real work of art like later experimental albums like Revolver or Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club. Musicologists are still tapping their toes today, as they do with many other Beatles works, trying to determine the significance of this album to the canon of popular music, and Rubber Soul is no exception. In 2012, Rolling Stone magazine ranked it fifth on its list of the 500 most important albums of all time, it has achieved platinum status in the UK and is regularly ranked among the top albums by various magazines. The Beatles returned from a tour of North America in August 1965 and began writing an album that was influenced by styles as diverse as soul, Bob Dylan's newly electric folk rock, a hefty dose of country (heard, for example, in the song What Goes On) and George Harrison's growing interest in Indian music. Although, strictly speaking, The Kinks had discovered an instrument for their sound earlier: the song Norwegian Wood, written by McCartney and backed by Harrison's sitar playing, sparked a resonance for the instrument and Indian music and culture in general in the 1960s. Norwegian Wood is now considered a cornerstone of the emergence of world music. And that's only because Harrison became inordinately interested in everything that had been brought over from India to the Western world. Of course, he took lessons in sitar from the best sitar player of them all: Ravi Shankar. Other musical journeys can be found in the song Michelle, which is about walking along the Seine with a baguette under your arm, or in the song The Girl Who Danced Greek Sirtaki and Drank a Little Too Much Ouzo. In My Life enchants with a beautiful bridge with a piano that sounds like a harpsichord. And none of the Fab Four members have been left behind in their evolution. Ringo Starr experimented with a number of unusual percussion instruments, such as the rumba ball and tambourine, which are now a natural part of many drummers' repertoire. The song Wait is quite unusual in its acapella introduction and only in the chorus is it again recognizable as a Beatles song. It sounds avant-garde and gospel at the same time. First you have to master this melange! Like everything the Beatles touched, Rubber Soul was a huge success. When the album was released on December 3, 1965, record stores couldn't order it quickly, so greedily did they grab the record out of their hands. The album stayed on the sales charts for 42 weeks and went to number one the very next week. It stayed there for eight weeks like a grandfather in his armchair. Album sięga do gatunku Rock, Pop, Beat i Rock & Roll. 180g Remastered Vinyl.
